Linda Ortman 2024 Clinton Moore, Jr. 2024 John P. Smith 2024 John P. Smith, 52, of Camden, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He was born in Rome on January 12, 1972, a son of the late Samuel and Pauline (Marshall) Smith. On January 21, 1995, he was united in marriage to Melissa L. Tilton. John was a five-star auto technician at Victory Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Rome for several years. He loved working on cars, even on his own time. He always needed a project. He was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church. John enjoyed golfing at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, fishing, going on cruises, and taking long rides on his Kawasaki Vulcan. He loved to tell a good joke and he was a tremendous storyteller.... Evelyn Moot Seaton 2024 Evelyn Seaton, 98 years young, passed from the loving arms of family into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the arms of her loving husband, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. She was born at home in Knoxboro, NY, on April 9, 1926. A Doctor came a week later and recorded her birth date of April 16, 1926, a daughter of Harvey and Florence (Murfit) Moot. She graduated from Vernon-Verona High School, Class of 1944. On February 6, 1946, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Daniel E. Seaton. He was taken into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on August 13, 1973. They had two children, Daniel Jr. and Brenda. Over the years Evelyn was employed by Smith-Lee Bottle... Elwood "Woody" Miller 1935 — 2024 Elwood "Woody" Miller, age 88, of the Town of Lee, passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2024, at Rome Health. Woody was born in Jefferson Township, PA on November 22, 1935, to the late Evans and Erma Bahr Miller, and received his associate's degree from MVCC. He enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and honorably retired after 24 years of service. On July 1, 1978, he was united in marriage to the former Beverly J. Taylor in Rome; a blessed union of over 42 years until her passing on November 3, 2020. Following his military retirement, he continued working as military police for Rome Labs. Woody was a true Patriot; he loved his country. Woody enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting,... Richard J. Brunnett, Sr. 1939 — 2024 Richard J. Brunnett, Sr. 84, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital, with his loving wife, Charlotte, and children, Lynn, Rick, and Chris by his side. Born on August 12, 1939, Rich was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Victoria (Bolanowski) Brunnett. He was a graduate of New York Mills High School and attended MVCC. Rich proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1969. On September 24, 1966, he married Charlotte Spurbeck at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church, a blessed union of 57 years. Rich was a furnace operator for Special Metals Corporation for 36 years. He was a member of the New Hartford American Legion Post 1376 and a very proud and active member... Born on November 12, 1958, in Rome, NY, Victor is the son of Victor A., Sr. and Leona (Wilson) Amato. On August 9, 1980, Victor married Jennifer Bosak in Rome, a union of 43 years. Victor was a glazer with NEP Glass, Little Falls for over 30 years. Victor was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who treasured time spent with his grandchildren, Chris, Jr. and Mia. Victor Amato, Jr. 2024 Ronald L. Moon 1942 — 2024 Holland Patent-Ronald L. Moon, 81, passed away on June 19, 2024. He was born on December 12, 1942 in Utica, a son of Berton and Violet Wishart Moon. Ron Grew up in Utica and graduated from Utica Free Academy in 1961. He worked for General Electric, and then for the city of Utica in the water department. He retired in 2002. Ronald was an avid softball player in the area for many years and was a member of the Rainbow Sportsman Club. Shirley was the daughter of Alexander Robert Williamson and Genevieve Law Williamson and a proud graduate of Utica Catholic Academy. In 1950, she married Howard J. Pritchard, and they had a blessed marriage for 50 years. Shirley was predeceased by Howard who passed away on June 24, 2000, their son Michael J. Pritchard in 2014, and her brothers James and John. Shirley and Howard raised a family of five children and they both were proud of each of them. Shirley often shared with her family that 'she loved being a Mom.'
