Sadly, when wealthy celebs pass away, a hot topic tends to be surrounding the inheritance, and who gets what. That was the case during Tina Turner's passing, as speculation took as to whether or not her kids would be trusted with the $250 million. Other celebs put strict rules in place, that included Hugh Hefner who put a ban on giving his inheritance to family members if they consumed drugs.
In the following, we're going to take a look at a different kind of ordeal, which features the late Farrah Fawcett. The late star surprised everyone with her inheritance, leaving out her long-time partner Ryan O'Neal, while instead including an ex from her past. We're going to reveal how O'Neal and Fawcett's ex reacted to the news, and what could have possibly inspired such a decision.

Farrah Fawcett Left Most Of Her Fortune To Her Only Son, Redmond Fawcett O'Neal
At the age of 62, the Charlie's Angels star passed away losing her battle with cancer. ABC News reported on the will left behind by Fawcett and as expected, she left most her fortune to her only son Redmond, leaving behind $4.5 million. The rest of it was moved around to other family members.
"According to the document posted only, the couple's lone child together, Redmond Fawcett O'Neal, will receive the most cash of any person named in the will: $4.5 million. Fawcett also left $500,000 to her nephew, Gregory Walls; $500,000 to her father, James Fawcett."

However, there was a surprising addition few expected, and that included ex-lover Gregory Lawrence Lott. Ryan O'Neal refused to comment on the matter. Lott did speak out about the matter, and he wasn't pleased given that he was unable to see Fawcett during her final days.

Ryan O'Neal had apparently labeled Lott as a 'disgruntled ex-boyfriend', according to Express. However, given what Fawcett left behind, there might've been more to the story. Lott briefly spoke about the inheritance, but didn't go into great detail out of respect to Fawcett and her family. However, he was displeased as to how he was unable to contact his ex during her final days.
"I am a beneficiary of her estate. I have been asked to maintain the confidentiality of the estate, which I must respect."
He continues, "This news that I am indeed in her will and Ryan is not raises some serious questions about why he prevented me from seeing the love of my life in her final months. Farrah meant the world to me and I know that I equally had a profound impact on her. I cannot understand how those around her chose to keep me from her."

Although O'Neal kept things quiet, his son Griffin did not. He claims his father completely changed when he found out about Fawcett's sickness, and what that potentially meant.
"All those crocodile tears," Griffin said. "My dad's only goal was to make sure he would be in the will. It was so disgustingly transparent as soon as he found out she was terminal. I consider him a vulture presiding over a carcass. Ryan thought he was going to get everything."

Ryan O'Neal Walked Away With Nothing Despite His Long-Term Relationship With Farrah Fawcett
O'Neal walked away from the relationship with nothing, though he did reveal that their connection wasn't about that. Plenty of rumors swirled as to why O'Neal didn't get anything, including the fact that he was unfaithful during his time with the late star.
Fawcett's close friend Sylvia Dorsey spoke to People, discussing that despite Ryan's reputation, the two did have a close relationship.
"Ryan was the love of her life. I don't think she was happy without him. They fought and loved with passion. It was never boring. They were electric together."
Other stories mention that Ryan never left her side during the final days, while he also proposed the idea of marriage.
"He never left her side, especially those last few months," says another of Fawcett's close friend Alana Stewart.
"I think they would've married if she had made it because he asked her to marry him in the hospital and she said yes. But she took a turn for the worse. This was just a few weeks before the end, so perhaps it wasn't realistic. The two of them had a deep bond and deep love. No matter what they went through, the ups and downs, he was the one she wanted by her side."
People also suggests that the two were forever connected given that they were parents and shared a child. Nonetheless, it was viewed as a bizarre conclusion between the two.
