    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to BBC: "Overall the performance was really, really good. The first half especially was so dominant, should have been ahead and maybe take that from the game.

"First half we were so good, pushed them back. We were dominant side in the game. The guys played with real intensity and real personality. Really happy."

"Palace are a good side and I thought we were really good in the game. As a team I don't think we could have done much more in the game apart from score. We kept pushing and pushing so nice to get a goal in the end.

"The group we have are fighting for each other. That is important. We have a good group. Really pleased.

"The level of performance meant we needed to get something from the game, just for our supporters who I thought were fantastic."

On VAR decisions: "It looked fine to me. I think they got the right decisions for both of them."

  3. 'Frustrating, but they deserved their goal'

    FT: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Premier League: Brighton rescue late draw against Crystal Palace - reaction (2)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira, speaking to BBC Sport: "Really happy with the point. The first half was all about them but we came back in the second half with more determination and more discipline and I think we managed to frustrate them. Of course when you score first and then concede with five minutes to go it is frustrating but I think they deserved that goal."

On Conor Gallagher: "He is a goalscorer. He is somebody who can score goals."

On Jack Butland: "He had been training all week. I am really pleased with Jack. It was a good save in the first half, he came for crosses, he saved the penalty. He showed all his potential. He deserved it for the way he has been working and waiting. I am glad for him."

"Overall I think it is a fair draw. I am really pleased with the other side of the game we showed today. We like to play all the time but sometimes when we can't we need to show how to defend well as a team and today I think we did it."

  4. 'I'm loving my football at Palace'

    FT: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

More from Conor Gallagher to Sky Sports: "It's disappointing not to get all three points for the fans to go back home with but I feel like they understand we didn't really deserve it. It's always disappointing to concede late like that.

"The way football is goals and assists gets you praise like I've been getting. I need to continue to perform well not just score and get assists. I like to do well defensively as well for the team but I'm happy with how it's going so far."

On future with Chelsea: "Chelsea is one of the best teams in the world right now. It's a tough team to get into but I'm not really thinking about that right now. I'm loving my football at Palace this season so I'll finish the season, do what I can to help the team and see where I am.

"We have a great squad. I feel like everyone is quite impressed with how Palace are playing this season which is different to last season. We're trying to play on the ball and be more exciting and I think it's worked so far. There's still improvements so hopefully we can improve in the second half of the season."

  5. 'We didn't feel confident'

    FT: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Premier League: Brighton rescue late draw against Crystal Palace - reaction (4)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Conor Gallagher to Sky Sports: "I thought it was a really difficult game to be honest. I don't think we played well. The second half was a little bit better but they were the better side throughout the game. I thought we defended well but on the ball we weren't good enough at all.

"We just didn't feel confident. They pressed well and made it hard for us. We weren't confident enough to get on the ball and play which we've shown this season we can do. That was a bit disappointing."

On Frank Lampard comparisons: "It's Frank Lampard! I can't be compared to somebody like that. I was happy to get a goal. I didn't think I played great in the game, I made a few mistakes."

  6. 'I am delighted for Jack Butland'

    FT: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Premier League: Brighton rescue late draw against Crystal Palace - reaction (5)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira talking to Sky Sports: "I think it is important to analyse all the game and a draw at half time was good for us. The second half was good. I am happy with the draw and the point we took back home.

"Brighton were really dominant but they were getting frustrated because they couldn't create many chances and they took more risks as the- game went on. We were patient and we defended well and we are going back with a point.

"Jack Butland was the man of the match. I am delighted for him. He is working hard every single day, He needed a chance and he was at his best today and that allowed us to go home with the points.

"Conor Gallagher has got that energy and understands when to get in the box with that timing and he will continue to keep scoring goals for us."

  7. 'Can't get much more dominant'

    FT: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Premier League: Brighton rescue late draw against Crystal Palace - reaction (6)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to Sky Sports: "Pride. I thought we were fantastic, first half especially. Can't get much more dominant that.

"Overall the performance and character of the team to recover from the set back of missing a penalty and conceding, to come back, really pleasing.

"It is football and all you can do is focus on the quality of our performance which was really, really pleasing. Overall in the game I thought we were the better team.

"I can't be anything but pleased with how we went about our work tonight."

On the VAR decisions: "I think VAR got pretty much everything right. I can see why it was chalked off and why the penalty was given. Yep, well done."

Point gained or a missed opportunity? "Both. At the end of the game you have to take what you have. The thing we have to take forward is the performance level. If we maintain that performance we will win more than we lose."

  8. 'Nights like this are a reminder of what I can do'

    FT: Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Premier League: Brighton rescue late draw against Crystal Palace - reaction (7)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland talking to Sky Sports: "It is obvious to see they had the ball mostly but to concede a scruffy own goal like that and defended brilliantly, it feels more like a loss. But it is a good point.

"They were pressing and scored in the manner they did, which was frustrating. The last few years have been difficult for me and I haven't played as much as I would like.

"I left Stoke and had been struggling confidence wise. Coming to Palace is a breath of fresh air. The chances have been few and far between and to have a night like this is rewarding and reminds me what I am capable of.

"There are still things to work on but it has been a long time, when you don't play as regularly as you like it is harder. This is a reminder. I feel like I have been ready for this."

  9. 'We never gave up'

    Brighton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Premier League: Brighton rescue late draw against Crystal Palace - reaction (8)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton striker Neal Maupay, speaking to Sky Sports: "The Premier League is tough. This game was hard. We played well in the first half but the second half they came back with more intensity. They scored but as always we never gave up and came back. We would have loved to have won but it is one of those games you have to be happy with the point.

"It shows the mentality throughout the team. We never give up and believe in each other. Whether we are 1-0 or 2-0 down we keep pushing. There will be times when we can't come back but this season so far there have been a few times we have come back.

"It is is football, it is very hard to control games for 90 minutes and we saw that tonight. We came back from 1-0 down and that is what we have to keep in mind tonight."

On his disallowed goal: "It is the rule I guess. I thought the keeper dived into me. It is football. I said it before sometimes referee and VAR will be on our side and sometimes they won't. It is fine, I can't complain about it."
