What is Early Pay Day?
Early Pay Day gives you access to your eligible direct deposits up to two days early.
There's no enrollment required and no fee – Early Pay Day is included with Direct Deposit.
Once we receive information about your incoming direct deposit from your payor, we may make the funds available for your use up to two days earlier than your scheduled pay date.
How to get paid early with Direct Deposit
Step 1.
Use our pre-filled form
Use our Wells Fargo Mobile® app or sign on to create your customized Direct Deposit guide.
- Select the account you'd like your deposits to go to, and we'll pre-fill the form with your routing number, account number, and account type.
You can also download a blank Direct Deposit/Automatic Payments Set-Up Guide (PDF) and fill in the information yourself.
Step 2.
Provide the information on the completed form to the company or agency that pays you
Your payor may ask you to complete their own form in order to process your request.
Step 3.
Monitor your account
It may be one or two pay or benefit periods before Direct Deposit goes into effect.
Signing up for automatic alerts will notify you when a direct deposit is available in your account. Choose how you want to receive alerts — email, text message, or push notification to your phone. You can change your preferences anytime.

How does Early Pay Day work?
Early Pay Day gives you access to your funds up to two days early for eligible direct deposits.
If we receive information from your payor that your deposit is on the way, we may provide you access to your funds up to two days early.
Is there a fee for Early Pay Day?
No, there is no fee for Early Pay Day. It's included as one of the perks when you set up Direct Deposit.
When will I know when I'm paid?
You can set up an alert to notify you when you receive a direct deposit. Use our convenient online banking tools or mobile alerts to help you manage your account and know your balances.
How early will my Direct Deposit be available to me?
It depends. The day and time we make funds available will depend on when we receive information about your deposit from your employer or other payor, which can vary from deposit to deposit.
Will funds from my direct deposit always arrive early?
No. Early availability is not guaranteed, and may vary from deposit to deposit – including those from the same payor.
Whether we are able to provide early availability depends on when we receive information from your payor that the funds are on the way, any limitations we set on the amount of early availability, and standard fraud prevention screening.

With Early Pay Day, the Bank may make incoming electronic direct deposits made through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) available for use up to two days before the scheduled payment date. Not all direct deposits are eligible for Early Pay Day. Early availability of direct deposits is not guaranteed and may vary from deposit to deposit. Whether we make funds available early depends on when we receive the payor’s payment instructions, any limitations we set on the amount of early availability, and standard fraud prevention screening. Eligible direct deposits are limited to electronic direct deposits of items such as your payroll, pension, and government benefit payments made through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) to your personal account. Other deposits or credits to your account, such as deposits of funds from person-to-person payment services (e.g., Zelle®, Venmo, or PayPal transfers), check or mobile deposits, and other online transfers or electronic credits are not eligible for Early Pay Day.
